Lab 2.1.1
Comparing and Contrasting Diabetes
At the beginning of the school year I didn't know much about type one or type two Diabetes. Lab 2.1.1 showed me how to identify type 1 and type 2 Diabetes and how they differ. Type 1 Diabetes is when the body doesn't produce any insulin so the glucose cannot enter the cell and builds up in the bloodstream. Type 2 Diabetes is when the body doesn't recognize the insulin your body is producing or the shape of the insulin receptor cells. They are the same because in both scenarios because the body isn't allowing glucose to enter your cells and it results in you needing more insulin that works with your body. The symptoms may differ between each type but they also have similar symptoms like dehydration and weight loss.
